
Treasure Island Incentive – August 2011 UK and ROI stores
Rules
The information you provide in entering the prize draw will only be used in connection with your entry in the Specsavers Treasure Island Incentive. The information is held by the Specsavers Group of Companies either manually or electronically and may be processed by Specsavers in Guernsey. The information will be restricted to authorized users only and is treated in the strictest confidence and processed at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
To enter:
- Qualifying entrants must be Store staff, resident in UK (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man) or ROI and aged 16 or over
- Qualifying entrants must have booked a contact lens customer appointment, between 30 July 2011 and 3 September 2011. Such appointment and contact lens fitting must also be attended between 30 July and 3 September 2011 by the customer and the same customer must have a Lensmail scheme set-up within a four-week period from the date of the attended contact lens fitting
- The latest date a customer can sign up to a relevant accompanying Specsavers Lensmail scheme is 1 October 2011
- In order for an entry to qualify, the customer to whom it relates must have agreed to a contact lens fitting of their own volition without any improper incentive or inducement from any Store staff and must have signed up to a valid Lensmail scheme
- Each qualifying entrant satisfying criteria 1-4 above shall receive a Treasure Island incentive prize draw voucher, issued by Specsavers Optical Superstores Limited by email direct to Store partners weekly
- The right to enter the prize draw by voucher redemption can only take place by the entrant accessing: thebigfit.com/treasureisland website and the entrant then entering the individual voucher code and payroll number
- Specsavers Optical Superstores Limited employees involved in the promotion of the Treasure Island incentive are excluded from participation
- Vouchers are valid for redemption until midnight Sunday 9 October 2011
- Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash alternative for non-cash prizes
- The winners may be required to participate in publicity associated with this promotion
- Entry into the prize draw is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions
- All winner names may be published on EyeQ throughout the period of the incentive
- Specsavers’ decision on any aspect of the prize draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into
- Specsavers reserves the right to change, hold, void or cancel the promotion at any time without notice
- Specsavers Optical Superstores Limited is the legal promoter of this prize draw
- The prize draws will take place weekly from 8 August 2011 by an independent third-party company
Prize delivery
- Grand cash prize of £2,000 (UK inc. CI & IOM/ROI euro equivalent) will be paid directly into the winner’s bank account via Bacs (as per normal payroll). Please allow up to two weeks for the monies to reach your account.
- Electrical items will be sent securely
- Please allow up to two weeks for delivery for Apple iPad 2, and sweets
- Sweets will commence delivery 15 August 2011
- Smaller cash prizes – £20 (UK inc. CI & IOM/ROI euro equivalent) – will be paid directly via payroll. Cash prize vouchers must be redeemed by the 12th of each month for inclusion in the same month’s payroll and salary

Stores are reminded to fully abide by the Rules of the prize draw throughout the period of the Treasure Island incentive.
Guidance notes
Clarification of schemes included and excluded within Treasure Island Incentive
IMPORTANT: please ensure all staff enter SOCRATES under the correct staff name, and alternatives such as A Clens Test or A Locum are not used as this affects the accuracy of the data and can cause a delay in communicating the results. All aliases (as above) will be disqualified from the data.
Inclusions
- Customers who have previously purchased contact lenses over the counter
- Schemes which are cancelled and then restarted after four months
- There is no age limit on scheme sign-ups
Exclusions
- Creating a second scheme for the same customer
- If customer is on a scheme holiday and restarts
- Conversion from one Lensmail scheme to another within four months
- Store to store transfers
- Schemes which are cancelled either by the bank or instore, and then restarted within four months
- Restart of a scheme within four months but the aftercare is out of date
- Scheme is set up and cancelled within one week
- Appointments booked retrospectively for Lensmail schemes set up
